2016 – Year End Review

First time in my blog posts, i would like to share my Professional journey of this year.

In 2016, i havent tried anything on the infrastructure side. All my projects and learnings were related to Development. Started the year with Mobile Hybrid development with Javascript, where i really got good opportunity to learn the modularization and architecture of Mobile Hybrid applications. Further strengthened my JavaScript knowledge.

I got involved around four Java Web applications using Spring & Hibernate technologies. Each one was challenging in its own way like no proper requirements, automating unorganized sector, etc.  Learned a lot about SpringMVC and how well we can use Hibernate.

I also learnt building FullStack JavaScript applications using NodeJS, ExpressJS, etc.

This year  i registered in online courses portal(pluralsight) for the period of one year. Watched lots of tutorial videos on wide range of topics from networking concepts to Architect certification. It helped me to get the basics of any topic .

Today I have purchased Vimeo on Demand of Advanced Java presented by Java Champion, Dr Heinz Kabutz. So, next week weeks, i would like to watch these videos and improve my Core Java Expertise.

As far as my blogging is concerned, i havent written a single technical post this year. Iam feeling bad about it and didnt want to repeat it again.

On the last working day of the year (30th December), i have taken a session on Overview of AWS. Iam able to share my AWS knowledge with few team members. I felt it is a good start for 2017. Would like to continue…

For 2017, my focus areas would be

  • Infrastructure automation using Java
  • Design & Build Cloud infrastructure using AWS
  • Develop libraries/tools useful for Middleware Infrastructure Build & Operations

Wishing you a Very Happy New Year
